District Vision: “Small Schools Preparing Students for Big Futures”
Mission Statement: “Each student, upon school completion, will be prepared to continue further education or enter the world of work as productive community members responsible for their own actions and considerate of others.”
Hanna Primary School
Vision Statement: “Be The Best You Can Be”
Mission Statement: Our purpose is to ensure individual student development through effective education. We recognize that no two children are alike and that they mature physically, emotionally, socially and intellectually at different rates. Through the cooperation of parents and teachers each child will reach his/her full potential. Learning is a lifelong process and our goal is to develop a love of learning.
Hanna Primary School addresses the educational and schooling needs of K-4 students as determined in part by Alberta Education, Prairie Land Regional School Division, the community of Hanna and surrounding districts, and above all else the students themselves.
The Alberta Education Elementary Guide to Education provides the primary direction for school program organization, while Subject Curriculum guides and teacher resource manuals guide the subject content and application for teachers in the classroom. Teachers are expected to have readily available in their classroom appropriate educational resources and manuals for their subject assignments.
We will encourage a positive, cheerful and energetic school climate where teachers, students, parents and the community work together in a respectful and cooperative manner.
